  • Under limited supervision, administers human resources policies and procedures that cover two or more functional areas.
  • Collects and analyzes HR data, and makes recommendations to management.
  • Performs activities in functions such as employment, compensation, benefits, training, and compliance reporting and employee relations.
  • Collect/analyze data and prepare HR related reports, providing associated recommendations to leadership, as required.
  • Participates with recruiting programs, interviewing, and screening, evaluating and selecting qualified applicants.
  • Participates with managers regarding job evaluation requests.
  • Interprets human resources policies, counsels employees concerning work related problems and conducts termination interviews.
  • Prepares material for and conducts new employee orientations.
  • Conducts research, analyzes data and prepares recommendations on assigned projects.
  • Provides assistance to line management regarding employee relations practices.
  • May provide technical guidance to lower level staff.
  • Collaborate with HR Mgr/business in the planning and delivery of core HR generalist services and solutions in an effort to maintain a positive employee relations climate (quality of work life, positive communication/interaction, due process, corrective actions, performance management and proactive risk mitigation) while at the same time fostering empowerment, continuous improvement as well as mutual respect, trust and confidence for the HR function.
  • Work with HR Manager to develop/revise, implement and administer Human Resource programs, policies, practices and procedures that improve business performance and also ensure compliance, consistency and equity.
  • Partner with business functions in diagnosing situations, needs/issues and respond by coordinating the design and delivery of the necessary HR solutions to achieve desired business results within the context of applicable policies, state and federal laws.
  • Work with HR Manager to implement and coordinate change programs in support of strategies and initiatives designed to improve business performance and/or elevate the facility to desired level of excellence.
  • Oversee and/or provide end-to-end management of hourly staffing process to include labor requirements planning, sourcing, screening, interviewing, evaluating and onboarding qualified hourly talent.
  • Collaborate with internal/third party partners to oversee hourly talent acquisition process, including labor planning requirements, turnover reduction and enhanced quality of hire.
  • Administer hourly compensation programs such as wages (incl. site wage survey), benefits administration and unemployment claims/appeals.
  • Partner with/Corp Legal to represent the facility in legal and administrative activities/proceedings (GCEO/EEOC Charges/Fact-finding Hearings/Mediations, etc.) conducted with 3rd parties and external agencies.

Additional duties/projects as assigned by the Human Resources Manager include:

  • Serve as facility lead for location Affinity Groups. 
  • Administer Benefits Annual Enrollment process.
  • Serve as sponsor in overseeing facility sponsored employee events.
  • Represent facility in various Community Service events.
  • Develop and facilitate HR related training to facility employees.
  • Facilitate Employee Engagement Survey.
